Gyroids may be coming back to Animal Crossing New Horizons

Gyroids are an essential part of the Animal Crossing experience but are noticeably absent from the latest entry on the Nintendo Switch. Well, kind of. Apart from Lloid - who helps you construct public works - the ones you used to dig up in past games and display in your home are nowhere to be found.

Animal Crossing New Horizons has been in our hands for some time now and Nintendo promised many more surprises will make it into the game. While the game has already so much content to keep fans entertained for years to come the team behind the game is planning more features for at least 3 more years.

As of right now, gyroids only appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in the form of the sentient construction-donation collector, Lloid. A video from GameXplain, though, recently shared that a fan photographed the official strategy guide, in which appears a reference to gyroids, outside of just Lloid. Normally this would be reading far too into things, except for the fact that it tracks from the April 19 datamine from Ninji on Twitter that said gyroids were in the game's data. The museum appears to have two more upgrades possibly coming, one of which will include a gyroid designated section. In addition, Cheap Animal Crossing Items is on hot sale at our website z2u.com.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that they will never be in the game, as Nintendo clearly has a content plan to keep players engaged with the game in the months ahead. Lloid, a Gyroid NPC, does appear at various public works, similar to Animal Crossing: New Leaf. As Nintendo is planning more free content updates for the game, they could potentially return in the future.

Hopefully the only reason gyroids haven’t shown up in New Horizons just yet is that they were not finished in time for the game’s March 20 release date. Gyroids are an iconic part of the Animal Crossing franchise and an awesome tie to Japan’s ancient history. Hopefully, Lloid won’t have to be lonely for that much longer.
